	President's Column By Ed Hiscock, TOCA President As most of you know, the 20th annual TOCA meeting will be held May 13-14 at the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. This special anniversary meeting celebrates two decades of TOCA service to editors and marketing communications experts in the Green Industry. And as you also know, times are tough. I talked in this space last time about how the companies and people in the industry we serve need TOCA members on both the PR and editorial sides to not only help them through hard times, but to actually help them grow their business by gaining market share. The same rationale applies to us individually as TOCA members, and also to our respective employers, who, in most cases, foot the bill for our TOCA memberships and travel. read more

	How ironic it is that TOCA’s 20th anniversary celebration, set for May 12-14 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is themed:” Celebrating Deep Roots, Strong Branches, New Heights.” If there ever was a time for our members to support our organization with deep rooted feelings of pride for TOCA, strong branches with emerging leaves of splendor from 20 years of strength, and looking into the next decade reaching for new heights at a time when pessimism has reached low to sap our spirit, this is it!

GIS Reception
Approximately 50 TOCA members attended this year’s Golf Industry Show in New Orleans at the New Orleans Riverside Hotel. Members enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast, and received the latest on TOCA topics, and some otherwise scintillating conversation.

The 19th Annual TOCA Communications Contest
