TOCA Membership Renewal for 2011
Talking The Talk With TOCA Talk!

I love when fall (some call it autumn) rolls around. College football is back in session, kids go back to school, the leaves start falling (except for here in the desert) and selling season is in full effect for most of my clients.

This is also the time that we typically start our planning process for marketing and sales support programs for the next year. We begin strategizing about new ways to reach prospects and customers in the green industry, developing new creative campaigns, reviewing media kits from publications and planning our budgets for FY'11. It is so important to plan early because without a clear roadmap of where you're going, you'll never know if or when you'll get there.

You all know what a baseball fan I am. When I discovered that all-time great Yankee Hall-of-Famer Yogi Berra stayed at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC, site of the 2011 annual TOCA meeting, that was enough for me.

"I really did say everything I really said," Yogi remarked about his stay at the resort in the 1990s. Need we say more? Now I know our membership is a little more particular than I am – they might want to know about the program workshop and seminars, availability of flights to Asheville, hotel room costs, internet availability, and simple details like that. But me? Once I discovered Yogi thought it was a good place to stay – I was sold.

But really folks...TOCA is excited to be headed for one of the country's most fabulous resort getaways in the beautiful city of Asheville, tucked inside the Smoky Mountains. The TOCA meeting for 2011 is set for May 3-5.

TOCA Scholarship – Apply Now!
The TOCA Board of Directors will award one $2,500, fall semester scholarship (2011-2012 academic-year) to an undergraduate college student pursuing a career in green industry communications.

TOCA Membership Renewal
for 2011
It's that time of year. TOCA will email the 2011 Membership Renewal forms at the end of September. If there is more than one TOCA member in your company, one person from the group will receive the email. He/she should pass the Membership Application form to the other members in the company who want to renew their membership.
