Cheryl represents the epitome of a great Canyon employee and co-worker. In addition to her valuable communications skills, organizational ability and attention to detail, Cheryl does everything with a solutions-oriented motivation and an infectious upbeat attitude. She instinctively tries to put a positive spin on every situation, and you rarely see her without a smile. (In fact, before she got married, her maiden name was literally "Miss Joy.")
A native of Michigan, Cheryl graduated from Arizona State University with a business degree in Marketing, and then quickly began her career in professional communications, public relations and event coordination. Cheryl joined Canyon after working in the financial services industry, where her experience included a variety of client-service and strategic marketing responsibilities.
Given her warm and caring personality, it's not surprising that Cheryl also has a passion for animals, especially dogs, and she frequently pet-sits in her free time. An avid runner, basketball player and golfer, Cheryl married her high-school sweetheart, who she says "always keeps her laughing." But with Cheryl's cheerful disposition, that might be an easy thing to do.
